General Manager Projects

Role & responsibilities;

Project Planning and Execution

• Develop a detailed project plan outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Regularly review and adjust schedules to accommodate project changes and delays.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules for both greenfield and brownfield projects using Gantt charts.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to finalize optimal layouts that ensure functional efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring all expenses are within the allocated funds.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
• Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to track spending and identify any discrepancies.

Resource Management:

• Allocate and manage resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.
• Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.

Quality Assurance and Control:

• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure all work meets industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
• Train team members on quality standards and best practices to maintain high standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's/Masters degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

15+ years of experience in project execution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
