Deputy General Manager Accounts

Role & responsibilities

Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements. Compliance relating to submission of returns and deposit of tax relating to income tax, GST etc. of the Company.

All commercial & accounting activities from the initial stage till the finalization of accounts which includes project accounting. Preparation & scrutinizing of accounting documents, maintain books of accounts up to finalization level, settlement of accounts.

Proficient in accounting principles, accounts reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.

Excellent knowledge of Income tax and Indian Accounting Standard (Ind AS)..

Up to date & 100% follow through on all new amendments / notification in tax laws & statutory compliances

Responsibility towards statutory / internal audit and control

Ensure timely and defect free adherence to all statutory compliances including and not limited to GST, Income Tax and TDS

Finalization of amount and ensure timely payment of all statutory dues.

Finalization of accounts and timely filing of all statutory returns

Proficient in identifying accounting discrepancies and ensuring thorough checks of internal processes.

Liaisoning with consultants / departments for assessments under all statutes.

Ensuring adherence to all compliances with partners/investors with reference to accounting

Adherence to all TATs involving external interface

Familiarity with accounting software/s and advanced Excel functions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey accounts information clearly and effectively to management.

Experience in overseeing system implementations or upgrades within the finance & accounts department to enhance operational efficiency.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams to achieve departmental goals.

Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build effective cross-functional relationships within the organization.
