Network Engineer - SDWAN (5-7 yrs)

About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on Cisco Meraki SD-WAN to join our growing team.

- As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of our organization's network infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on migrating from Cisco Viptela SD-WAN to Cisco Meraki SD-WAN/SASE.

- This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, security, and cloud-based networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the planning, design, and execution of the migration from Cisco Viptela SD-WAN to Cisco Meraki SD-WAN/SASE.

- Develop and implement comprehensive migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Conduct thorough testing and validation of the migrated network to ensure optimal performance and stability.

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki SD-WAN devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

- Optimize network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security.

- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential problems.

- Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions.

- Ensure network infrastructure aligns with business requirements and industry best practices.

- Participate in network capacity planning and future network growth initiatives.

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.

- Stay abreast of emerging network security threats and implement appropriate countermeasures.

- Collaborate effectively with other IT teams, including systems administrators, security engineers, and application developers.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.

- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on SD-WAN technologies.

- Proven experience with Cisco Viptela SD-WAN and Cisco Meraki SD-WAN/SASE.

- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).

- Strong understanding of network security concepts and best practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
