Assistant General Manager , Project Management (OSD)

Assistant General Manager (AGM), OSD, Project Management:

The position would typically involve overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of Generic OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) drug development projects for US, RoW and India markets in Mankind R&D

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables for new drug development projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Establish project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

• Lead cross-functional teams across different departments (FRD, ARD, Procurement, Regulatory, clinical, manufacturing etc) to ensure project milestones are met.
• Manage project risks and issues, identifying potential roadblocks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Closely monitor the project progress and run weekly Cross Functional Team (CFT) Meetings for all the project to keep the project on track and to bring all the CFT on same page
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budget, reporting status updates to senior management.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external vendors.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Mentor and develop project team members, providing guidance on project management best practices.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
• Identify and address performance issues within the project team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical generic drug development process for US, EU, Emerging /RoW, India markets.

• Project Management Skills:

Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, utilizing project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification preferred but not mandatory).

• Leadership Abilities:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills to lead diverse teams and navigate complex situations.

• Team Management:
• Responsible for handling a team of size of 2-3 project managers, guiding, monitoring and leading the team and their work
• Also able to manage projects himself independently
• Responsible for mentoring, motivating as well as inspiring with positive communication within them so that they can work together toward achieving goals.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA or MS) with a focus on project management is preferred
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable, but not mandatory
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical project management, preferably in a leadership role
