Role Description:
This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, in-depth market knowledge of the healthcare industry, and a proven track record of success in sales management.
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Area sales team to achieve sales targets, ensuring the effective implementation of sales strategies and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. As a motivator, you will ensure effective messaging to the team to achieve stretched targets and maintain a high level of discipline focusing on both short-term results and long-term growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, mentor & motivate a team of Regional Sales Managers within the assigned zone
- Responsible for driving the strategic sales plans to achieve the monthly targets in the assigned territory for Specialty Diagnostics division
- Set clear KPIs, provide regular feedback, conduct monthly review meetings and quarterly performance evaluations to ensure team exceeds sales targets
- Foster the culture of cross functional collaboration, on the field sales training, accountability of the zone's success factors for continuous improvement
- Resolve conflicts, address performance issues, support the team with right set of empowerment & promote a positive work environment conducive to high performance
2. Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement sales strategies, accurate monthly forecast, action plan to exceed the sales targets and maximize revenue growth
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities & customer feedback to identify right set of opportunities
- Ensure effective territory management, resource allocation to maximize the productivity ratio and meet the market demands
- Appoint the right channel network to maintain strong relationships with KOL's and industry partners
- Maintain high discipline on the CRM tool to ensure accurate data inputs from the team and conduct monthly review of the sales funnel for actionable decision making
3. Business Development:
- Drive secondary sales through customer coverage, roadshows, product demonstrations & CME's
- Responsible for driving the leads and funnel management for assigned zone.
- Collaborate with Head marketing and marketing specialists to develop targeted zone-wise marketing campaigns & ensure successful launch of the products through direct/ channel sales
- Drive mindset change on premium pricing and value-based sales management
- Ensuring technical training to the team for better customer management highlighting the key features, benefits & value proposition of the products
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, opportunities and challenges within the Zone and derive relevant strategies with the Divisional Head
4. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Ensure 100% adherence with company policies, compliance and ethical standards in all sales activities in the zone
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to track progress against goals and objectives.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance.
- Present sales performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Responsible for attrition management through continuous employee engagement, recognition, motivation & supporting the talent acquisition in the zone
Desired Experience and Skills:
- 12-15 years of experience in sales management within the healthcare industry, with a focus on building and leading high-performing teams.
- Proven success in building relationships with surgeons and other key healthcare professionals.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on motivation and goal achievement.
- In-depth knowledge of medical equipment and diagnostics, particularly in the laproscopic segment
