Role Overview:
The Lead-Business Analytics will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making for the organization by leveraging advanced analytics and business intelligence tools. This role demands a deep understanding of the insurance sector (70%) and expertise in analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau (30%). The ideal candidate will analyze data, recommend actionable solutions, and provide insights on market trends to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analytics and Insights
- Analyze business performance metrics, customer behavior, and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Interpret data to recommend solutions that optimize processes, improve performance, and drive profitability.
- Evaluate and report on new market trends in the insurance sector, including customer segmentation, product performance, and renewal behaviors.
2. Dashboard Development and Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau for visualization and performance tracking.
- Ensure that dashboards and reports are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for tracking business outcomes.
3. Business Strategy and Recommendations
- Leverage analytics to provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, and operations) to implement solutions based on data insights.
- Identify areas for improvement in customer retention, claims management, and premium collections.
4. Team Collaboration and Communication
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring clear communication of complex data insights.
- Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on interpreting analytics reports and dashboards.
- Support the development of analytics processes and frameworks to streamline business decision-making.
5. Technical Expertise and Innovation
- Utilize analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to design advanced reporting and visualization models.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data availability, quality, and security.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 9-12 years of experience in business analytics, with at least 5 years in the insurance sector (life, health, or general insurance).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel for analytics and visualization.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, including product analysis, claims, renewals, and customer segmentation.
- Hands-on experience in developing dashboards, analyzing large datasets, and presenting insights to senior management.
Analytical and Strategic Skills:
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on recommending practical solutions to business challenges.
- Knowledge of market trends and developments in the insurance sector.
