Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Engineering Support

⢠Verify 2D drawings based on product specifications and coordinate with the design team for modifications.

• Conduct dimensional analysis of new components and prepare technical reports.

• Review and analyze newly developed parts for feasibility and performance.

2. Costing & BOM Management

• Perform product costing analysis and provide cost estimates to the development team.

• Create BOM (Bill of Materials) and generate item codes in SAP for new components.

• Review and analyze cost factors for newly developed parts.

3. Sample Procurement & Testing

• Source and purchase samples from local distributors.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to arrange product samples.

• Work with PPC/Production/Quality teams for sample manufacturing.

• Generate comparison reports between new samples and OEM samples.

4. Testing & Validation

• Coordinate with external test labs for testing of filters and other products.

• Prepare functional & benchmarking test reports for new developments.

• Conduct customer-returned filter analysis and share reports with the development team.

• Ensure all new products meet performance and regulatory standards.

5. Data Management & Documentation

• Prepare technical data for catalogs and update documents on the customer portal.

• Maintain accurate records of all project proposals, testing reports, and development activities.

• Support internal teams by providing technical reports and validation documentation.

Key Requirements:

1. Education & Experience

• B.E. in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development within the automotive component manufacturing industry.

2. Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of automotive components, especially in filtration systems.

• Proficiency in handling software tools, MS Office, and SAP.

• Knowledge of costing methods, BOM creation, and component validation.

• Familiarity with automotive testing procedures and benchmarking techniques.

3. Industry Knowledge

• Experience in automotive component development.

• Exposure to filtration systems and automotive product manufacturing.

4. Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication & coordination skills to work across departments.

• Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and accuracy.
