Job Description

• Vendor management, new vendor development both India & global
• Preparation of enquiry, evaluating the offer, negotiation, ordering and expediting
• Coordination with suppliers and internal team for order execution as and when required
• Vendor shop visits for evaluation and approval
• Preparation of comparison sheet with vendor offers (techno-commercial)
• Vendor database management and time to time update, relationship management
• Support sales team during the preorder offer preparation phase
• Experience in Supply chain management
• Pan India knowledge about the vendor data base in India for manufacturing heavy engineering / steel equipment
• Knowledge about overall Project execution process
• Basic knowledge about Iron and Steel making plant and process is an advantage
• Past experience in leading a procurement team
• Knowledge about electrical and automation system procurement, related vendors
• Overseas procurement and supply chain management experience is an added advantage
• Knowledge in cost of heavy engineering industry related components and raw materials
