Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and strategic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Executive to lead our efforts in fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace for our India operations. The DEI Executive will collaborate with leadership and employees to develop, implement, and measure initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DEI strategy tailored to the cultural and demographic diversity of India.
- Collaborate with global and regional leadership to align DEI goals with organizational objectives.
- Identify and address key DEI challenges specific to India's social and corporate landscape.
2. Policy Development and Implementation
- Review and recommend updates to company policies to ensure inclusivity and compliance with local labor laws and anti-discrimination regulations.
- Design and oversee the execution of initiatives that address gaps in diversity, representation, and inclusion.
3. Employee Engagement and Awareness
- Conduct workshops, training, and awareness programs on topics such as unconscious bias, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive leadership.
- Foster a culture of inclusion through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and regular engagement activities.
4. Recruitment and Talent Development
- Work with the HR team to implement equitable hiring practices and ensure diverse representation across roles.
- Develop mentoring and leadership programs to support underrepresented employees.
- Ensure career growth opportunities for marginalized and minority groups within the organization.
5. Measurement and Reporting
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of DEI initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on DEI progress and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits and surveys to gather employee feedback and drive continuous improvement.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external DEI-related matters in India operations.
- Build relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to enhance the company's DEI impact.
7. Legal and Ethical Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local and global legal standards related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in diversity and inclusion roles or related HR functions, with a focus on India.
- Strong understanding of India's cultural, linguistic, and social diversity, and its impact on workplace dynamics.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and drive change across organizational levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to measure DEI outcomes.
- Experience with training design and facilitation.
