About the Role: Lenovo is looking for a skilled Testing Engineer to support Server Manufacturing and excellence in manufacturing test processes. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and optimizing test engineering processes and solutions for a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including high-performance and AI servers by strong network with Lenovo Global Test Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and Optimize Test Processes : Lead the Manufacturing Test process, Test code deployment for robust manufacturing test engineering processes for unyielding productivity and alignment with ISG s global Engineering and Plant Engineering strategy.
New Product Introduction (NPI) : Participate in early manufacturing involvement for NPI, On-time readiness of Test process, Test code, Test Tools / Jigs to support TTM. PFMEA / NUDD and effective CAPA for potential risk / issues, new product testing training and development to MFG team for seamless product launch.
Data Analysis and Preventative Action : Conduct analysis of manufacturing test failures w. r. to Product, Process and work with Global engineering and MFG cross-functional teams to implement preventative measures for continuous process improvement.
Design for Testability (DFT) : Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that product designs optimize manufacturability while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Sustaining Product Support : Maintain existing product test processes and develop enhancements for continued product support and feature updates.
Standardization and Global Process Development : Contribute to the development and standardization of global manufacturing test processes, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Technical Onsite Support : Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing sites to ensure smooth execution of orders (MO to FG). Transform the special bid requirements into manufacturing process and special bid orders execution
Drive Automation and Innovation : Lead efforts in manufacturing test automation, CMIs and innovation to streamline processes and improve production outcomes through Engineering Core capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field relevant to the server industry, with an emphasis on manufacturing testing.
Experience : 10+ years Proven experience in manufacturing test engineering, preferably in the server or high-tech industry.
Technical Skills :
Server Product knowledge, Latest technology chipset/ Platform/ Architecture
BIOS, Firmware, UEFI, SW BOM
Python, UI tools, dB - MS SQL
Linux server administration
Windows Power shell, Linux shell script
BOM (Bill of Material) structure, BOM creation, Engineering Change (ECN)/ Process Change (PCN)
Analytical Abilities : Strong data analysis skills for evaluating test data and driving process improvements.
DFT Knowledge : Understanding of Design for Testability principles to support efficient and effective product testing.
Problem-solving : Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with the ability to provide on-site technical support.
