Design and analyze hydraulic systems for pipelines, pumping stations, and water distribution networks.
Perform surge analysis and water hammer studies to ensure system safety and reliability.
Surge Analysis & Mitigation:
Conduct transient hydraulic analysis using advanced software tools (e.g., Surge 2000, Bentley Hammer, or similar).
Develop and implement surge protection strategies, including surge tanks, control valves, and pressure relief devices.
Air Valve Selection:
Evaluate and select appropriate air valves (e.g., air release, vacuum break, combination valves) for various hydraulic systems.
Perform calculations for optimal placement and sizing of air valves to preven vacuum conditions and pipeline collapse.
Pipeline Design Optimization:
Optimize pipeline routes, materials, and diameters based on hydraulic modeling and cost analysis.
Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. AWWA, BIS, or ISO).
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with project managers, structural engineers, and construction teams to integrate hydraulic design solutions into broader infrastructure projects.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during project execution.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare detailed design reports, calculations, and technical specifications.
Develop operation and maintenance guidelines for hydraulic systems, focusing on surge protection and valve operation.
Compliance and Innovation:
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Explore innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance hydraulic system efficiency and sustainability.
