Techno Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Contractor Identification & Evaluation

Identify and pre-qualify potential contractors for various construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects.

Assess contractors' technical capabilities, experience, financial stability, and past project performance.

Maintain a comprehensive database of reliable contractors and vendors.

2. Rate Analysis & Budget Preparation

Conduct detailed rate analysis based on project specifications, material costs, labor requirements, and market conditions.

Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial models for project tenders and internal decision-making.

Ensure adherence to project budgets by closely monitoring cost variations and optimizing resources.

3. Contractor Finalization

Evaluate proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts with contractors and vendors.

Ensure contracts comply with technical and commercial requirements, legal guidelines, and organizational policies.

Collaborate with legal and finance teams for contract drafting and execution.

4. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams

Work closely with design, procurement, and execution teams to align contractor performance with project requirements.

Provide technical and commercial inputs during project planning and execution phases.

5. Risk Management

Identify potential risks associated with contractor performance and financial exposure.

Implement strategies to mitigate risks, such as performance guarantees and insurance coverages.

6. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and organizational standards in contractor engagement.

Maintain accurate documentation of rate analyses, contractor evaluations, and finalized agreements.

7. Continuous Improvement

Monitor contractor performance during project execution and provide feedback for improvement.

Develop strategies for cost reduction, quality improvement, and timeline adherence.

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in rate analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.

Deep understanding of construction materials, techniques, and market trends.

Familiarity with contract laws and government tendering processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP systems
