At Stymer https://stymer.epiqmachinery.com/, you will be part of a team driving product development and innovation for various Epiq Group business units, collaborating with customers in the Middle East and teams across Canada, the USA, and France.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis and System Design:

• Interpret and analyze General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Design Teams to understand system requirements.
• Calculate and design fluid power systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic requirements.

3D Modeling and Documentation:

• Use SolidWorks CAD or similar 3D modeling tools to create detailed designs and schematics.
• Prepare system drawings, fluid power schematics, and layout plans.
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accurate ERP system entries.

Support for Manufacturing and Assembly:

• Guide Mechanical Assembly Teams during fluid power system assembly.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot assembly issues.

Testing and Validation:

• Oversee system trials and performance tests.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and propose corrective actions.
• Optimize systems for performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance:

• Stay updated with advancements in fluid power technology.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 8-14 years of experience designing and managing fluid power systems.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in fluid power calculations, system design, and component selection.
• Expertise in SolidWorks CAD or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Hands-on experience with fluid power CAD software and ERP systems.
• Understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and system dynamics.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with ISO and industry standards.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of system diagnostics and testing tools.
