Job Description
- Oversee and manage all aspects of mining operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage mining royalty processes, including calculation, reporting, and liaising with relevant authorities.
- Negotiate and manage mining lease agreements, including renewals and amendments.
- Handle permits and ensure that the company maintains all necessary licenses for mining operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, local communities, and contractors.
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient mining operations, cost management, and safety compliance.
- Lead a team of professionals to ensure smooth day-to-day mining operations and adherence to operational targets.
- Provide strategic input and guidance to senior management on mining-related matters.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in mining operations, with a focus on royalty, lease, permit, and liaisoning activities.
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering , Geology , or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of mining laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of managing mining projects, including negotiations and liaising with government and regulatory bodies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
