Here the candidate would be responsible for strategically sourcing and managing a wide range of building materials across various categories on the B2B e-commerce platform, ensuring cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and quality control while fostering strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy Development:
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors for various categories like Bitumen, Polymers, Aluminium, Zinc etc based on quality, price, delivery capabilities, and market trends.

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve optimal pricing and contract terms with vendors.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and emerging technologies.
Vendor Management:
- Establish and manage relationships with key vendors, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and address any quality or delivery issues promptly.
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
Procurement Operations:
- Manage the procurement process on the platform, including purchase order generation, vendor communication, and order tracking.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock optimization to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, including adherence to quality standards.
Cost Management:
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
- Track and report on key procurement metrics like spend analysis, average price, and cost reduction achievements.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders like project managers, sales teams, and operations to understand their procurement needs.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding procurement updates and potential challenges.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proven 5+ years experience in procurement management
- Expertise in B2B e-commerce platforms and digital procurement tools.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to manage complex vendor relationships and build trust.
- Understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
