Auto Controller - Associate
Description:

- As an Auto Controller in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
- You will have an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and partner with Finance, P&A, Risk, and other groups throughout the Firm.
- As a result, excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- The position will provide an in-depth understanding of Auto business, financial statements, R&R deliverable, internal controls and reporting requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely posting of all month-end journals.
- Calculate and oversee accruals and reversals.
- Support periodic Recovery & Resolution appendices and other US regulatory submissions.
- Review and test system enhancements for financial and regulatory reporting.
- Establish strong relationships and provide support to Auto leaders, Finance, Project Managers, and related control groups.
- Escalate issues constructively and present complex information clearly and concisely to management.
- Assist in implementing new accounting standards and reporting requirements by staying current with evolving US GAAP and regulatory changes.
- Distribute and create financial reports to support accounting and finance teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting department (internal or external)
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results
- Solid problem solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills
- Ability to summarize large amounts of data, formulate a concise message, and communicate clearly to Management
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP preferable
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP and Hyperion Essbase preferred
- CA /CPA / MBA Finance candidate preferred.
- Experience in the Controllers area in Retail Banking domain is preferred
