Head-Coal Handling Plant (CHP) in Power Plant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of experience in coal handling systems for large-scale power plants (preferably 200 MW or greater). The ideal candidate Should have extensive expertise in Mechanical erection & fabrication of coal handling systems in  power plant coal handling operations, ensuring efficient and safe processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for the  installation, and commissioning of coal handling systems in power plants.
• Oversee project, troubleshooting, and optimization of coal handling equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all phases of the project.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the execution team, offering solutions to complex mechanical challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, civil, and project management teams, to achieve project goals.
• Develop detailed technical specifications with the design team for coal handling equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of mechanical systems and recommend improvements.
• Manage the preparation of reports, documentation, and cost estimates for mechanical works.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in coal handling systems for power plants.

Desired Skills:

• Proven expertise in power plant operations, with a preference for projects above 200 MW.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, equipment selection, and maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software for mechanical design and project management.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with modern coal handling technologies and best practices in large-scale plants.
