Executive - SCM (Dispatch)

Role & responsibilities :

1. Dispatch Operations:

Plan, organize, and oversee the dispatch of goods.

Coordinate with the warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch.

Prepare and verify shipping documents such as invoices, delivery notes, and transport permits.

2. Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels and coordinate the availability of goods for dispatch.

Collaborate with the inventory team to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

3. Coordination with Stakeholders:

Liaise with transport providers to arrange delivery schedules.

Communicate with customers regarding dispatch details, delivery times, and any delays.

Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to streamline dispatch processes.

4. Data Entry and Record Maintenance:

Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods, including quantities, destinations, and delivery dates.

Update in SAP.

5. Quality and Compliance:

Ensure goods are dispatched in proper condition and meet quality standards.

Adhere to company policies and legal regulations related to transportation and logistics.

6. Tracking and Monitoring:

Monitor the movement of goods during transit to ensure on-time delivery.

Resolve any transportation or delivery issues promptly.

7. Process Improvement:

Identify inefficiencies in the dispatch process and suggest improvements.

Implement strategies to reduce transportation costs and optimize dispatch schedules.

8. Reporting:

Prepare periodic reports on dispatch performance, including on-time delivery rates and issues encountered.

Provide data and insights to management for decision-making.

9. Problem Solving:

Address and resolve issues such as delayed shipments, incorrect deliveries, or damaged goods.

Handle customer complaints related to delivery and dispatch.
