Resort Manager

Corporate Manager

Sales & Marketing Manager - HO

Executive Duties:

  • To Assist the Resort Manager in the efficient running of the resort in terms of Operations and Business Development with a view to manage the entire working capital requirement of the resort from local accruals.
  • To assist in Overseeing of all Correspondence, Reporting Systems pertaining to Resort Operations with HO, Coordination and Control of Operating Departments of the Resort in terms of Purchase, Accounting, Stores, Front Office, Food & Beverage Service & Production, Marketing, Action Zone &
  • To Officiate as the Resort Manager in his absence and represent him at all Official Meetings and to carry out all his duties to the best of ones ability and

Business Development & Marketing:

  • To identify Market Needs & Segments within the Region and Vicinity of the resort.
  • To Monitor and Analyse the Activities, Changes and Trends of the Market and also of all Competitor Resorts through Regular Market Visits and Interaction with the Competition.
  • To Develop and Build GSA and Agent Network within the appointed Region of work.
  • To Develop an Annual Business Plan in Coordination with the Corporate Manager, Resort Manager and have the same approved by the Managing Director.
  • To Organise and Attend Promotional Functions.
  • To Assist and Entertain at Resorts, Fam Tours Organised by HO, Commercially Important Guests and Government Officials. In the event of Organising a Fam Tour of Select Travel Agents or Resort Inspection Visits by Corporate Houses, prior approval of the HO be taken.
  • To prepare Daily Sales Call Reports and submit to the Resort Manager.
  • To prepare a Weekly Synopsis of the Daily Reports to be dispatched to HO in consultation with the Resort Manager.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Operations Manual is being adhered to and referred to at all times
  • To ensure that the Action Register of each Employee is being carried and referred to for all Operational Instructions.
  • To ensure that all Operating Standards and Procedures are enforced and practiced in the resort and adhered to by all employees at all times.
  • To ensure through effective Supervision that all Services offered by all resort are always available and being offered with the utmost efficiency and courtesy.

Finance, Budgeting And Cost Control:

  • To set in close conjunction with the Resort Manager, in addition to the Annual Business Plan, prepare an Operating Budget which will form part of the Detailed Resort Expenses and Cash Flow.
  • As mentioned earlier, to Ensure that the Entire Working Capital Requirements will have to be funded through Local Accruals and Revenue Generation.
  • To assist in keeping all Costs in line with the Operational Budget and ensuring that all Costs are strictly controlled.
  • To assist in preparing & dispatching the Weekly, Fortnightly & Monthly Reports to HO.

P.R. & Communication:

  • To interact with Media and Press under the direction of HO & the Resort Manager.
  • To periodically meet and maintain Cordial Relations with all Government Officials of Importance under advice from HO and the Resort Manager.

Staff Management, Development & Training:

  • To ensure that all areas of Responsibility are Properly Staffed, Supervised and Operating
  • To analyse the Training needs in coordination with the Resort Manager and implement Programmes as required.
  • To contribute to the review of Performance & recommended Increments and the Promotion of Staff.
  • To ensure that all Employees are correctly Attired and Presentable at all times.
  • To ensure that all employees have a Complete Understanding of and adhere to the Resorts Rules and Regulations Handbook.
  • To maintain a Data Bank of Manpower.

General:
