Project title: Maharashtra Drone Mission
About the project:
The project funded by the Government focuses on developing and demonstrating drone and allied technologies. The project will address various applications through the utilization of advanced technologies and critical infrastructure. Strong industry connections and collaborations will be fostered to solve pertinent challenges and drive technological advancements. Additionally, comprehensive drone training and awareness programs will be provided to ensure proficiency and understanding among people.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
This is a leadership position involving effectively managing a team, with initiative and independence, to achieve project deliverables.
Candidate should have:
- PhD with minimum 8 years relevant experience
- MBA/MTech or equivalent degree with minimum 12 years relevant experience
- BTech or equivalent degree with minimum 14 years relevant experience
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, preferably in aerospace, drone technology, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Strong project management skills from planning to completion.
- Expertise in engaging with government agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions.
Skills:
- Strong financial management, including budget planning and resource allocation.
- Ability to drive innovation and leverage emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks in drone technology and aerospace.
Job Profile:
- Provide visionary leadership and set strategic direction for the drone mission.
- Oversee daily operations ensuring efficient resource use and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Build and maintain relationships with government, industry partners, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Foster innovation and drive the development of cutting-edge drone technology.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks for smooth project progress.
- Implement performance monitoring systems to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic Partnership Development: Actively seek and establish partnerships with international drone technology firms to leverage global expertise and innovations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and lead forums, conferences, and seminars to enhance stakeholder engagement and publicize project milestones. Act as the primary spokesperson for the project, representing it at national and international platforms.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the project adheres to all national and international drone technology regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies to advocate for favorable policies that support drone technology advancements.
- Funding and Resource Mobilization: Identify and secure additional funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and private investments, to ensure the project's financial sustainability.
- Oversee the efficient allocation and utilization of project resources to maximize impact.
- Technology Transfer and Commercialization: Develop strategies for the commercialization of project outcomes, including the transfer of technology to industry partners. Promote the adoption of developed technologies by relevant sectors to enhance their operational efficiencies.
- Talent Development and Management: Implement initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent in the field of drone technology. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the project team.
- Sustainability and Impact Assessment: Integrate sustainability practices into the project to ensure long-term viability and minimal environmental impact. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the project's impact on technological advancements and societal benefits.
- Innovation Ecosystem Development: Create and nurture an ecosystem that supports innovation, including facilitating access to advanced research facilities and resources. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to explore new applications and advancements in drone technology.
- Perform other duties as required.
Pay Details:
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 2,50,000/- pm including OCA.
General information:
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates called for interview will be required to attend at his/ her own expenses.
