Vice President Business Development

Responsibilities

• The GM-BD position will be based in Mumbai; and will report to the Chief BD Officer; with an overall charge of western part of India from a business development perspective
• The key remit of this position will be to foster growth of the organization both in terms of new business as well as footprint (as required)
• Will be responsible for garnering new logos with special focus on BFSI vertical and technology enabled organizations / start-ups in the Fintech environment
• Applicant(s) should have a strong network in the above mentioned areas as there will be specific growth targets assigned to the position
• The applicant(s) should be ready to hit the ground running; therefore having a reasonable pipeline with ~90 days closure is a major expectation
• Should be able to create an aggressive, comprehensive solicitation and BD strategy aimed at new prospects
• Will be required to monitor customer, market and competitor activity and create an outreach plan to tap prospects (including but not limited to cold calls) based on these findings
• Using networking, social media, research and other channels of establishing connections, be able to schedule and manage meetings with senior client personnel
• Pro-actively make efforts to get invitations for RFI’s / RFP’s / RFQ’s and sole source opportunities
• Compile detailed solution documents by liaising with internal teams / stakeholders
• Create and / or redesign collateral, where required – based on the opportunity; conduct client presentations / solution presentations and get to the closure stage
• Engage in contractual discussion with client team

Experience / Qualification

• Ideal candidates should have a strong background in BD (Sales) and Client Relationship Management; and an established record in BFSI sales
• At least 6 years of BD experience in the BPM industry in a managerial / senior role (with a renowned BPO service provider) is a pre-requisite; with an proven track-record of new-logo wins
• Should be able to conceptualize solutions based on prospect’s requirements; including technology and digital interventions
• Good knowledge and understanding of the BPM industry – including competitors and their USP’s, clients and their business
• Deep seated understanding of the BFSI vertical and past experience of closing sizeable deals in this segment is a must
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate with external as well as internal stakeholders large prospects
• Professional and effective business correspondence skills; as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
• Should be a graduate / post-graduate; and an MBA degree will be an added advantage
