Placement Manager

Job Summary:

Placement Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the university placement and internship programs. The TPO builds strong relationships with industry partners, prepares students for job opportunities, and ensures a high placement rate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Placement & Career Support:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate recruiters and HR professionals.

Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and networking events.

Ensure maximum placement opportunities for students across different domains.

Identify job opportunities relevant to students academic background and skills.

2. Student Training & Development:

Conduct pre-placement training, including resume writing, interview skills, soft skills, and aptitude training.

Organize guest lectures, industry talks, and mentorship programs.

Arrange mock interviews, group discussions, and skill-enhancement workshops.

Guide students on career paths, internships, and higher education opportunities.

3. Internship Coordination:

Collaborate with companies to provide internship opportunities for students.

Ensure students gain hands-on experience through industry projects and training programs.

Monitor and assess student internship performance and feedback.

4. Industry & Alumni Relations:

Establish partnerships with industries, corporate firms, and government organizations.

Develop and maintain alumni networks for better job and internship opportunities.

Collaborate with professional bodies and chambers of commerce for industry exposure.

5. Data Management & Reporting:

Maintain student placement records and prepare reports for university management.

Track recruitment trends and suggest improvements in training programs.

Ensure compliance with university policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

Additional certifications in career counselling, training, or HR management are a plus.

Experience:

3 -6years of experience in placement, corporate relations.

Key Skills:

Strong networking and communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with recruiters and industry professionals.

Knowledge of recruitment processes and career development strategies.
