Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for our products and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and that their systems operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Setup:
    • Install, commission, and configure products or systems at customer sites as per the project specifications.
    • Ensure proper setup and calibration of equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
    • Conduct user training on product use and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment as required.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
    • Ensure that all issues are logged, documented, and resolved in a systematic manner.
    • Coordinate with the technical support team and other departments to resolve complex issues.
  • Customer Support:
    • Provide on-site and remote support to customers, addressing technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and resolving service issues.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate service records, including detailed reports of work completed, spare parts used, and time spent on service tasks.
    • Provide feedback and technical reports to the service manager or relevant departments.
    • Document technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities to contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Inventory & Spare Parts Management:
    • Monitor and manage service tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory to ensure timely availability.
    • Order spare parts as needed and ensure that all service-related items are stored properly and managed efficiently.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Suggest improvements to products and services based on customer feedback and experiences in the field.
    • Assist in the development and improvement of service protocols and procedures.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company guidelines, industry standards, and legal requirements.
    • Ensure that all installations and service activities comply with relevant regulations and customer specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar technical service role.
  • Hands-on experience with [specific products, systems, or equipment relevant to your business].
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems, depending on the product or service.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, service software, and basic IT skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed (local or international travel may be required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or specialized training in [relevant technology or industry-specific equipment].
  • Experience with [specific industry, e.g., healthcare, IT systems, industrial equipment].
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.
