Production Incharge

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Incharge to oversee and manage our production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and safe production of goods. As the Production Incharge, you will supervise production teams, monitor production processes, maintain quality standards, and ensure that manufacturing targets and timelines are met. You will also play a key role in managing resources, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day production operations to ensure that production schedules and targets are met efficiently.
  • Monitor and control the production process to ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials, tools, and resources required for production.
  • Optimize production methods to improve productivity, reduce waste, and maintain cost efficiency.

• Team Supervision:

  • Manage a team of production workers, assigning tasks and ensuring that they are adequately trained and equipped to carry out their duties.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, promoting a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support the training and development of team members.

• Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and monitor product quality at each stage of the production process.
  • Implement corrective actions when quality standards are not met and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as environmental guidelines, in the production area.

• Inventory & Resource Management:

  • Track inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods, and coordinate with the procurement team to avoid stockouts.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, materials used, and finished goods produced.
  • Work with other departments (e.g., procurement, maintenance, and logistics) to ensure that resources are efficiently managed and operations run smoothly.

• Production Planning & Scheduling:

  • Assist in production planning, scheduling, and forecasting to ensure resources are optimized and production timelines are met.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate changing customer demand or unforeseen production issues.

• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

  • Address and resolve any production-related issues, whether related to machinery, workforce, or materials.
  • Investigate the root causes of production inefficiencies or delays and implement effective corrective measures.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed production records, logs, and reports on production performance, inventory levels, and quality control results.
  • Report production progress, issues, and outcomes to senior management, offering recommendations for improvements or process changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a production management or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
• Good understanding of quality control principles and techniques.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle production-related challenges efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets while ensuring quality.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in [specific industry, e.g., automotive, electronics, food production].
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certification in quality control or manufacturing management is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems.
