Job Description

General Manager - Service Sales - Industrial Automation/IT


Roles & Responsibilities:


- Coach direct reports on prospecting strategies and business closure techniques. Leverage digital sales tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.

- Drive overall service business for key accounts, ensuring targets are met in sales, order bookings, gross margins, and collections.

- Proactively engage with existing customers, educating and influencing them on service offerings while taking ownership of business development.

- Develop market intelligence to promote new service offerings, especially digital services.

- Set clear sales quotas and deliver accurate forecasting.

- Collaborate with leadership to refine strategies, drive change, introduce new ideas, and enhance service network performance.

- Work closely with internal teams (tendering, marketing, operations, and execution) to ensure timely and effective service delivery, maximizing customer satisfaction and repeat business.

- Build strong partnerships with system integrators, distributors, and authorized service centers while maintaining high engagement with business units to drive cross-selling opportunities.

- Expand recurring revenue streams, particularly through AMC and maintenance contract sales.

- Operate effectively in a target-driven lead generation environment.

- Ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing all ongoing activities, including orders and service delivery.

- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for sales funnel management and reporting.

- Provide accurate monthly forecasts and ensure commitment to growth targets.

- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, key account management, execution, tendering) to maximize business opportunities.

- Educate customers on the full range of products and services.

- Participate in trade shows and sales seminars as needed to support business growth.

- Apply market insights and account management skills to effectively engage with target audiences.
