Assistant Manager-Corporate Procurement

Role & responsibilities

Source, purchase, and ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for the smooth operations and maintenance of a thermal power plant.

Preferred candidate profile

Material and Service Procurement

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and services needed for plant operations and maintenance.
• Develop and issue purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in alignment with plant requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.

Vendor and Supplier Management

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor supplier performance, including delivery schedules, quality of goods, and adherence to agreements.
• Identify and onboard new vendors to diversify sourcing options.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, budgets, and vendor performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to identify material and service requirements.
