Minimum 15+ years of experience in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, or a related role, preferably in the thermal power generation sector. Proven track record of successful engagement with policymakers and industry stakeholders.

Part II Role Responsibilities

Role Objective

This role involves engagement with government agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to align the company's interests with policy developments. The candidate will also play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with environmental, energy, and operational regulations while promoting innovation in thermal energy production.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Policy Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive advocacy strategy to influence energy and environmental policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.
• Represent the organization in public forums, industry associations, and regulatory hearings.
• Monitor policy trends, legislative developments, and regulatory updates relevant to thermal power generation.

2. Strategic Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety, and operational regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement policy changes and best practices.
• Anticipate future regulatory requirements and provide strategic guidance to prepare the organization.

3. Communication and Representation:

• Act as the company’s spokesperson on policy-related matters.
• Develop advocacy materials, including position papers, briefing documents, and public statements.
• Lead initiatives to educate stakeholders on the role of thermal power in the energy transition.

4. Sustainability and Innovation:

• Advocate for policies that support the integration of cleaner technologies in thermal power generation.
• Promote the adoption of sustainable practices and innovations within the organization.
• Engage in collaborative research initiatives with industry and academic institutions.

Education

B.Tech (Any) & MBA
