Job Summary :

This role is focused on leveraging traditional machine learning techniques, advanced statistical methods, and domain-specific expertise to solve business problems. The Data Scientist will design predictive models, statistical frameworks, and actionable insights for business decision-making, with a strong emphasis on classical approaches in analytics.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Business Collaboration & Analytics Design : Partner with clients and internal teams to define and implement analytics solutions grounded in traditional ML and statistical approaches.

- Data Preparation : Oversee data extraction, cleaning, integration, and transformation to ensure high-quality datasets for modeling.

- Model Development : Build and deploy statistical and machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting) using tools like Python to address well-defined business problems.

- Stakeholder Communication : Present findings and actionable insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders using data-driven narratives and structured reporting.

- Documentation : Maintain detailed and organized project documentation for all analytics initiatives.

Key Qualifications & Skills :

Education : Bachelor's or masters degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience :

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in advanced statistics and machine learning using non-generative techniques.

- Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making in industries like pharmaceuticals, telecom, or retail.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, for model building and statistical analysis.

- Experience with classical ML algorithms such as regression models, tree-based models, clustering, and PCA.

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.

- Exposure to visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is good to have.

Other Skills :

- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.

- Excellent communication skills for translating data insights into actionable business recommendations.

- Knowledge of MLOps pipelines and best practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with advanced statistical concepts such as geostatistics, pattern recognition, and time series analysis.

- Exposure to multi-domain analytics, including customer, fraud, or social media analytics.

- Experience with APIs and data integration for model consumption.
