Manager - Environment

Role & responsibilities

1. Environmental Compliance:

   - Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards.

   - Implement procedures for the effective handling, storage, transport, and disposal/reuse/reduction/recycling of water, effluents, and waste.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

   - Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to promote environmental sustainability practices.

   - Prepare and present reports on environmental performance to stakeholders.

3. ESG Target Implementation:

   - Develop and implement strategies to achieve Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets:

     - Achieve Zero Liquid Discharge.

     - Establish Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives.

     - Ensure No Net Loss of biodiversity across company sites.

4. Monitoring and Reporting:

   - Monitor environmental metrics to assess compliance and performance against established targets.

   - Prepare regular reports for senior management on environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.

5. Training and Awareness:

   - Develop and conduct training programs to raise awareness about environmental policies and procedures within the organization.

   - Foster a culture of environmental responsibility among employees.

6. Continuous Improvement:

   - Identify opportunities for improving environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

   - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental management.
