Senior Automation Test Engineer - Mobile App Testing (6-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer - Mobile to join our dynamic engineering team.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our mobile applications by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test suites.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium on both Android and iOS platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, designers) to understand requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and define test strategies.

- Conduct thorough testing of REST APIs to ensure robust integration and performance, including API functional, performance, and security testing.

- Analyze test results, identify and log defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.

- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and tools.

- Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to establishing best practices for testing and automation.

- Perform risk assessment and identify potential testing issues.

- Mentor junior testers and conduct training sessions on testing methodologies and tools.

- Document testing processes, test cases, and results clearly and concisely for effective communication across teams.

- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of mobile testing.

Qualifications :

- 6+ years of professional experience in mobile application testing with a strong focus on automation.

- Strong knowledge of Appium, including Appium Inspector, writing custom locators, and handling dynamic elements.

- Proficiency in REST API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured.

- Solid programming skills in Java, with experience in writing and maintaining robust automation scripts.

- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.

- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with other mobile testing tools (Espresso, XCUITest).

- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies.

- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack).

- Agile development experience.

- Relevant certifications (ISTQB)
