Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - Mobile App Testing (5-7 yrs)

Job Overview :

As a QA Engineer/Lead, you will be responsible for the entire QA process, from understanding product requirements to designing and executing test cases.

You will work closely with product design, development, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.

This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

- Meet with the product design team to understand product requirements, specifications, and testing parameters.

- Contribute to requirements and design reviews from a QA perspective.

- Write comprehensive test plans and create detailed test cases covering functional, performance, usability, and security aspects of the product.

- Design and develop a robust and scalable framework for testing mobile applications (Android/iOS). This includes selecting appropriate tools and technologies.

- Understand and implement effective test automation strategies and approaches.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

- Execute test cases, document test results, and report bugs with clear and concise descriptions.

- Design and conduct performance tests to evaluate the performance and scalability of the product.

- Use bug tracking systems to report, track, and manage defects.

- Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of bugs.

- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

- Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.

- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

- Manage and mentor a team of quality analysts/quality engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring timely deliveries.

- Develop and monitor QA metrics (e., test coverage, defect density, test execution rate) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

- Understand end-user deployment scenarios and contribute to requirements and design reviews with the user experience in mind.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

- Proven experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.

- Ability to create comprehensive test plans and execute test cases effectively.

- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e., Appium, Espresso, XCTest).

- Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.

- Experience using bug tracking systems (e., Jira, Trello, Bugzilla).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
