Assistant Manager- Accounts

Role & responsibilities

• GST Compliance:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
• Reconcile GST input/output taxes and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Handle GST audits and resolve any discrepancies related to tax filings.
• Taxation:
• Oversee direct and indirect tax calculations, ensuring accurate tax filings for TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and tax planning.
• Handle assessments, notices, and liaise with tax authorities on behalf of the company.
• Accounts Management:
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and prompt responses to auditor queries.
• SAP System Utilization:
• Utilize SAP for managing and processing accounting and taxation transactions (e.g., journal entries, tax calculations, reconciliations).
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of SAP records, including invoicing, payments, and GST-related entries.
• Monitor SAP for financial reporting, tax reporting, and compliance tracking.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare detailed reports on tax liabilities, GST, and other financial data to aid in decision-making.
• Support management in financial analysis and planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
