Senior Geologist- Mines

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct geological exploration, mapping, logging, and sampling to identify mineral deposits.
  
• Plan and execute drilling programs to collect data for resource estimation and reserve calculations.
  
• Analyze core samples using various techniques such as XRF, XRD, SEM, etc. to determine mineral composition and properties.
  
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., geotechnical engineers) to integrate geological knowledge into project planning and execution.
  
• Develop detailed maps of mine sites using GIS software to visualize geological data.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• MS/M.Sc(Science) degree in Geology or related field from a recognized university.
  
• Minimum 7-12 years of experience in mining operations, preferably with expertise in core logging, geological mapping, and mineral exploration.
  
• Strong understanding of geological principles, including petrology, sedimentology, structural geology, etc.
  
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to geology (e.g., GIS software).
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
