About the role
As a Senior General Manager – Operations, you will lead the execution and delivery of real estate projects in the Western Zone. This includes overseeing Pre-Construction Planning (PCP), construction, and customer handover, while ensuring cost optimisation, process adherence and quality standards. The role demands strong expertise in project management, value engineering and leadership to manage large-scale operations.
Key responsibilities
Cost optimisation
Drive cost leadership across engineering, contracts and architectural design stages within the operational framework for the Western Zone
Lead sub-functions within PCP, including Costing and Budgeting, Contract Award and Administration and Engineering Services
Value engineering
Develop and instil a value-engineering mindset to overcome challenges and ambiguity
Add strategic value throughout the operation lifecycle, from Pre-TDD, TDD and design stages to execution, completion and customer handover
Analysis
Manage MIS reporting, budget control, cost analytics and AOP processes
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and effective use of tools like SAP and ASTA for planning and controlling change management
Coordination
Facilitate the timely delivery of drawings and decisions, ensuring zero construction stoppages due to PCP delays
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
Process adherence
Demonstrate high process orientation to manage large-scale operations within the Western Zone
Ensure adherence to company guidelines, processes and project timelines
Construction and execution
Provide technical direction and timely decisions to site teams to enable successful project completion
Oversee and resolve issues to ensure the execution of MOSA (Marketing Office and Sample Apartment) for project launches
Monitor project execution as per GFC drawings, AOP, LRP and SOPs for execution, quality, and safety, ensuring adherence to cost budgets and timelines
Plan proactively to mitigate risks and address local issues in coordination with civic teams
Focus on delivering high-quality products on time, achieving high Post-Possession NPS
Process improvement
Foster innovation and adaptability to meet business needs, optimizing construction costs and efficiency
Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
Learning and development
Identify and address development needs for self and team members
Promote continuous learning through training, educational opportunities and project-based initiatives
BE/B. Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience:
15–22 years of experience in the construction industry
Skills:
Expertise in managing multiple projects of 3–4.5 million sq. ft. across various sites
Proficient in managing consultants and contractors to achieve project goals
