General Manager - Civil

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for design review and execution of Civil & structural works for construction of Terminal Building adhering to safety & quality standards within specified time & cost.

Lead Preconstruction & during construction, Design Management; Value engineering; Appropriate Construction methodology; Monitoring & course correction of Timelines & Budget; Effective implementation of HSE & QA practices for ZERO INCIDENT target; Completion of projects within approved budget & approved timelines; for all Construction projects across Delhi Aerocity with high level of operational efficiency

Effective & disciplined interaction & reporting with Internal & External stakeholders; Govt authorities & Statutory authorities

ORGANISATION CHART

This position reports to Head Projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design Management: To ensure completion of designs from conceptual stage to detailed designs by coordinating with consultants and Design teams and other stake holders of the Project

Timelines; Value engineering; Construction methodology.

Procurement Management : Coordinate and assist procurement team with Technical and Commercial inputs in budgeting, tendering, vendor evaluation and vendor finalization.

In time Procurement, finalization of capable contractor / Vendor through P&C. Project Quality compliance

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interact with stake holders of the projects to understand their requirements and educate them on particular systems.

Interacts with other departments & Airport teams for efficient coordination of works

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interact with individual team members to understand their strength and weakness and guide them

Interact with Senior Management to apprise them about the progress of works.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

CAPEX works of up to Rs. 250 - 400 Cr / year

OTHER DIMENSIONS

• Number of Major projects packages to be handled / managed (All Civil, Structural, Interior & MEP packages) for building Projects
• All interior Works packages
• All Improvement works and Refurbishments works

Number of Contract labor to be handled (all structure / civil finishes packages labour)

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

BTech/BE (Civil). Construction Management qualification will be an advantage.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Job profile requires Minimum of 14 to 15 Years of relevant and Total 20 + years of total experience in Project Execution & Management
• Familiarity in the use of project management tools, methods, processes and techniques.
• Knowledge on MS Project / BIM etc
