1. The Opex team is not a good place to work ha having significant challenges in its functioning and management. 2. There is a lack of clarity from management regarding expectations and requirements. 3. Micro-management practices hinder effective work processes. 4. The primary focus is on meeting the 25-day Turnaround Time (TAT) for procurement, with little consideration for the nature or complexity of the tasks involved. 5. The work culture is difficult and does not promote productivity or employee satisfaction. 6. The department has an excessive number of reporting heads, creating ambiguity in roles and responsibilities. 7. Employees often face confusion about reporting lines, which include multiple figures such as the Business Head, Business SPOC, Vertical Head, Category Head, Opex Head, and COE Head. 8. The effectiveness of category managers is perceived to be minimal. 9. Review meetings are scheduled frequently, sometimes multiple times a day, disrupting workflow. 10. The SOP lacks clarity and purpose, causing frustration during its implementation. Unlike other organizations where SOPs simplify and streamline processes, here they create hurdles at every step. 11. Although the "7 Values of GMR" are frequently discussed in meetings, they are rarely upheld in practice. 12. The exit policy is cumbersome and demoralizing, with resigning employees often being treated poorly. 13. The HR team is perceived as unreliable and inconsistent in their practices. 14. During the PR to PO conversion process, buyers bear sole accountability to meet the 25-day deadline, even when delays are caused by internal or external stakeholders. 15. Employees are treated like bonded labours when they ask for leave, Even when they take sick leave, they are accused of lying - just because they are not coughing what a ridiculous culture. 16. If considering joining this company, avoid the Opex team—particularly the Purchase division. Other departments may offer a more positive experience....Read More

Nothing much
1. Category heads seem to occupy their roles merely as placeholders, passively awaiting retirement, with no original thoughts or opinions of their own to contribute. 2. Opex head and category managers, these individuals have collectively turned the entire department into a mess, making it impossible for any hardworking person to stay and contribute effectively. 3. There's not much to say about HR—I've never encountered someone so dishonest. They were always full of excuses, spinning tales about ‘market correction’ for the past two years. Now, I've left the company, but the so-called market correction is still nowhere in sight. 4. The company’s F&F settlement process typically takes 45 days, but ever since I left, I’ve been repeatedly following up with HR regarding my F&F dues and relieving letter. HR keeps giving excuses, saying things like “I’ll send it tomorrow,” or claiming that their senior isn't available. When I asked again, they said its pending approval with SSC. However, upon checking with SSC, I was informed that they’ve been emailing my BHR for the past two months, awaiting NOC clearance. Meanwhile, HR has continued to bluff and mislead me throughout the process. 5. The Operations Head is quite a character. She is short-tempered and refuses to consider others' opinions, consistently imposing her decisions on the team. If her decisions turn out to be wrong, she shifts the blame onto others. She is perpetually immersed in corporate politics and displays a high level of egoism. 6. The operations heads and category managers seem to enjoy unlimited leaves themselves, yet when someone else requests time off, they're questioned about why they need it or reminded about a recent leave they took. They even have the audacity to suggest planning sick leaves, which is utterly ridiculous. 7. Some category managers, on the other hand, have a habit of arriving late to the office and leaving early. They spend their entire day chatting aimlessly or even napping at their desks, only to lecture others about working diligently and coming to the office on time....Read More
