Officer/Senior Officer - Sourcing

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly capable Sourcing Officer/Senior Officer to join our Supply Chain Sourcing team. This role involves strategic procurement, vendor management, and ensuring seamless operations across sourcing and inventory management, all while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct bidding processes and select suppliers for coded (machine spares) and non-coded purchases.
• Develop and execute annual procurement plans based on approved sales forecasts.
• Ensure timely supply of packaging materials and adherence to inventory and supply chain policies.
• Manage inventory levels for consumables, spare parts, and packaging goods to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Handle sourcing, purchasing, and supplying requirements for packaging, mechanical, administrative, production, and safety needs.
• Conduct vendor assessments, audits, evaluations, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee engineering drawings and specifications during the procurement process.
• Update indent statuses, generate inquiries, follow up on quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
• Release purchase orders and ensure timely communication and documentation for sourcing activities.
• Coordinate with transporters for document retirement and goods collection.
• Address criticalities and manage material replacements or credit notes for rejected goods.
• Plan, schedule, procure, store, and issue packaging materials and spares effectively.
• Optimize plant processes through efficient inventory management and procurement planning.
• Maintain department costs within budget and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with EOHS, ENMS systems, and ISO guidelines.
• Build strong relationships with legal and transportation authorities.

Key Competencies:

• Import/Export Management: Proficiency in LC, BG, and INCO terms.
• Techno-Commercial Expertise: Supplier evaluation, engineering drawings, and negotiations.
• Systems Knowledge: SAP, EOHS, ENMS systems, and MEx tools.
• Procurement Planning: Strategic planning for inventory and supply management.
• Vendor Management: Supplier identification, qualification, auditing, and performance evaluation.
• Plant Process Optimization: Expertise in analyzing and improving plant operations.
• Logistics Management: Adherence to road transport rules and efficient logistics handling.
• Analytical Tools: Inventory analysis and planning tools for optimization.
