Engineer / Sr. Engineer (Electrical)

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure supply of the needed energy and fluids (Fuel Oil, compressed air and Natural Gas).
• Required HT DG GRID Synchronization skills for Smooth changeover of load.
• Maintenance of Batch plant, Furnace & All Winders, maintain equipment in good running condition. HVAC & Chillers, Mobile equipment. Plan and ensure to carry out the preventive, proactive and breakdown maintenance in time and ensure equipment availability.
• UPS Operations and VRLA Battery Maintenance.
• Attend breakdown maintenances in time and execute corrective actions and maintain all the records.
• Maintenance of Mobile equipment and electrical workshop activities and maintain history records.
• Execution of Condition monitoring of critical equipment and maintain records.
• Maintaining of all IMS & EnMS records and compliance.
• Analyse of breakdowns and execute corrective actions.
• Keep equipment as per requirements of (Factories Inspectorate etc.) complete required documents and keep ready for inspection.
• Prepare the procurement and consumption plan for electrical section.
• Follow up with his department costs and keep it in line with plan
• Propose and implement Process and Energy improvements programs. In particular those related to equipment downtime decrease, reduction of his department costs, safety and environment respect
• Develop a team spirit, oriented toward continuous improvement. In particular, those related to waste reduction, discipline following instructions and specifications, product quality, cost reduction. Promote communication and social dialog.
• Ensure that all his team has and knows his personal quantified objectives, and that periodical performance reviews are conducted.
• Ensure that all his team has needed competencies for their job, and/or put in place with HR help personal development and training programs to reach this goal.
• Is concerned by the motivation spirit of his team and if necessary, together with HR, put in place adequate programs
• Work in partnership with other GGFL Functions
• Maintain all plant equipment in good running condition, by implementing predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Maintain all shops and equipment under his responsibility in good working, safe and clean conditions
• Promote and get a safe environment in his department. Propose every year quantified safety objectives (Frequency and Gravity rate) together with an action plan. Meet those objectives during the year.
• Promotes and get a strict respect of Indian laws, GGFL rules and instructions and ISO instructions.
• Keep persons and equipment under his responsibility secure.
• Maintain good relations with W & M Department Govt. of Goa.
• Weekly, Monthly reports with trends, MTBF & MTTR with improvement techniques
• History cards, Kaizens, RCA, Why-Why Analysis.
