Specialist- Landscape Architect

JOB PURPOSE

To design, develop, operate and maintain Irrigation Systems and water bodies by using comprehensive water management skills to ensure maximum uptime of systems, maximum water availability and water saving to keep the landscape look good, green and fresh.

Ensure new landscape development and maintenance of internal and external Landscape & Horticulture works at Passenger Terminal Buildings and entire landside areas including Nursery Management for enhancement of ambience and environment of airport.

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators Maintenance of external Landscape & Horticulture Works at Airport premises - Ensure proper maintenance of plants and other landscape features at Terminal Buildings including watering, cleaning, nourishment, pest & disease control. Timely replacement of deteriorated plants.

ASQ score related to Ambience of Airport.

Quality of Landscaping.

Operation of Horticulture Nursery- Ensure nurturing of Plants returned from Terminal Buildings, propagation of plants, development of seasonal, bulbous and other Flowering Pots. Ensuring proper maintenance of Nursery infrastructure viz. Green Houses, Cooling system, irrigation system.

Number of flowering pots produced

Quantity of plant rotation at PTB s. Cut Flower Arrangement-Arrangement of Cut Flowers and Potted plants maintenance at Sr. Management Offices.
Quality of Flowers SAP Operation - SAP operation of Landscape & Horticulture Department includes creation of Purchase Requisition, Service Entries, MIGO, Bill forwarding.
Turnaround time New Landscape development & execution
Coordination with Landscape architect for concept and design development
Preparation of specifications, SLA, BOQ and other details required for bidding
Execution of the project as per the design within timeline and cost

OTHER DIMENSIONS

• Approximately 1. 35 Lac Potted Plants are being maintained inside Terminal Buildings and Horticulture Nursery.
• Approximately 120 no. Supervisory staff and gardeners are engaged through contractor.
• Management of three operational contracts in additional to new development works.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-graduation in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 9-12 years experience of Ornamental Horticulture with at least 5 year experience of large-scale landscape development and maintenance works including preparation of BOQ, estimation and contract management.
• Experience of Large-scale indoor gardening having good knowledge of plants varieties and their growing requirements.
• Experience of Nursery management including Plant Propagation techniques, development of Potted Plants under soilless
• media; nourishment and pest & disease control of ornamental plants.
