Position Description

Skilled Business Systems Analyst contractor role to play a pivotal role in the migration of our Atlassian Confluence application from its current environment to a Cloud platform. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in business analysis, system requirements gathering, and a solid understanding of application architecture and migration processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that the migrated application meets business needs while maintaining functionality, security, performance, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.

The candidate will be responsible for analyzing current Atlassian systems, leading & documenting business requirements (BRD), building migration strategy, delivering functional designs (FD), collaborating with business & IT teams for transitioning to new solution. Must have a deep understanding of Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Wiki Products and integrations, a proven history of migrating on-prem solution to Cloud, as well as the ability to work with key stakeholders throughout the organization to deliver high quality deliverables in a timely manner. This role requires communication and collaboration with many departments and geographies.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze the current application architecture, dependencies, and security design.
• Collaborate across multiple teams and business leaders to understand business requirements and goals.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to understand application capabilities and constraints.
• Deliver Business Requirement Documentation, Functional Design Document, Migration Strategy, Transition Plan and User Acceptance Test Plans
• Implement the migration plan with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process.
• Test the migrated application thoroughly along with development, QA and vendor teams to identify and resolve any issues.
• Lead user acceptance testing and triage migration and functional Issues.
• Provide training and support to teams on using the migrated application effectively.
• Ensure end user success through strong customer service skills and understanding of the end users goals and objectives

Qualification & Skills:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
• 7+ years of experience in delivering Atlassian Confluence, Jira and Wiki Cloud solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Highly skilled in analysis, requirements, designing, documentation, and migration planning
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Highly motivated and driven with keen attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a self-managed and fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lead large and small group meetings and working sessions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
