Estimation & Budgetary Control Head - Real Estate (15-22 yrs)

Job Title: Budget and Budgetary Control Head

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Budget and Budgetary Control Head is responsible for overseeing the budgeting and controlling processes for construction projects including Civil works, MEP Works, Interior, etc. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and efficient budget planning, cost estimation, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

A) Budget Designing and Tracking:

- Develop and manage comprehensive budget plans for construction projects.

- Conduct detailed cost estimations and financial analyses for proposed projects along with backup.

- Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and MEP Heads to gather necessary data.

- Present and get approval on Budgets at different stages from senior management and stakeholders.

- Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

- Participate in budget review meetings and ensure consolidating of the revisions suggested and update budgets accordingly.

- Budget forecasting.

- Coordinating with site representative for change notes and take approval from Management.

- Submission of re-conciliation reports.

B) Purchase Requisitions:

- Prepare the price BOQ from the available approved construction/ coordinated drawings.

- Cross-check and verify purchase requisitions received from the site estimation team against the updated BOQ to compare material specifications and quantities.

- Monitor and track the actual material used vs. estimated material based on the final drawings, and reports of issued material through SAP.

C) Joint Measurements:

- Conduct joint Measurements of the Mock up or typical items with the site billing, site estimation, and Site Engineers.

- Review and provide a sign off on the joint measurement reports.

- Take corrective action on budget wrt joint measurement.

D) Reports / MIS:

- Prepare and maintain the master cost database.

- Prepare and present CCR reports to senior management and stakeholders.

- Monitor and track the actual cost vs. budget based on the final drawings, and reports of issued material/Services through SAP (given work orders and purchase orders).

- Prepare and send Project Closure Reports to Management.

Qualifications and Experience:

- B.E. Civil or equivalent.

- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in construction budgeting, cost estimation.

- Strong knowledge of construction market trends.

Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in software and tools (e.g., SAP, AutoCAD, Revit Excel, budgeting software).

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
