SCCM Platform Support
Job Description:
Role Overview:As an SCCM Platform Support Specialist within our WLS (Workload Solutions) team, you will be responsible for the management and support of the SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) platform.
Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and effective utilization of SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and configuration management across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Platform Administration:oAdminister and maintain the SCCM infrastructure, including servers, sites, and client configurations, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.oConfigure and manage SCCM roles, features, and components to support software deployment, patching, inventory management, and compliance reporting.
2.Software Deployment:oManage software deployment processes using SCCM, including application packaging, distribution, and deployment to end-user devices.oCoordinate deployment schedules, maintenance windows, and deployment strategies to minimize disruption and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
3.Patch Management:oImplement and manage patch management processes using SCCM to ensure timely deployment of security updates, hotfixes, and service packs across the organization.oMonitor patch compliance and remediate non-compliant devices to mitigate security risks and maintain system integrity.
4.Configuration Management:oDefine and maintain configuration baselines, settings, and policies using SCCM to enforce security standards, compliance requirements, and desired system configurations.oMonitor configuration drift and remediate non-compliant devices to ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Extensive experience in SCCM administration and support, including infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of SCCM features and capabilities, including software deployment, patch management, inventory, and compliance management.Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and customization of SCCM workflows and tasks.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in SCCM environments.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
