Senior Manager - Supply Chain (D2C) is going to play a key role in managing our e-commerce fulfilment & warehouse operations. Like most roles at Frido, this too requires a multi-skilled person who is comfortable to wear several hats depending on the situation.
What you will do:
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives in the e-commerce sector. Collaborating with senior management to set supply chain goals and objectives.
- Warehouse Management: Managing and optimising the operations of four warehouses ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfilment, and delivery within the e-commerce framework.
- Procurement: Leading procurement efforts, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials, products, and services to support the needs of our E-commerce operations.
- Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels while minimising carrying costs in the context of e-commerce.
- Supplier Management: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers,negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely and cost- effective procurement of materials and services for e-commerce operations.
- Logistics and Distribution: Managing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products within the e-commerce supply chain to ensure on-time delivery to customers while minimising transportation costs.
- Process Optimization: Continuously reviewing and improving e-commerce supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline operations.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, including disruptions in the e-commerce supply chain, and developing contingency plans.
- Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of supply chain professionals within the e-commerce sector, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Performance Metrics: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to e-commerce supply chain operations to assess effectiveness and driving data-driven improvements.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years of experience in Operations and Logistics in Ecommerce companies or D2C brands across platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart etc.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and e-commerce operations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team within the e-commerce context.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Knowledge of international supply chain practices and regulations in the e-commerce sector.
