Foundit - Cloud Automation & Observability Engineer (3-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation :

- Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.

- Manage and orchestrate cloud infrastructure deployments across platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Utilize container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) for efficient container management.

Cloud Observability & Monitoring :

- Implement and maintain observability tools (New Relic, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk) to monitor application performance and health.

- Create insightful dashboards, custom metrics, and alerts to proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues.

- Leverage Synthetic Monitoring and Real User Monitoring (RUM) to monitor application performance from a user's perspective.

Development & Scripting :

- Utilize scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Java, Node.js, PowerShell, Bash/Shell/Perl) to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment tasks.

- Possess a strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and RESTful principles.

CI/CD & DevOps :

- Implement and integrate CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery of infrastructure and application code.

- Adhere to DevOps best practices to streamline the software development lifecycle.

Additional Skills :

- Experience with Linux, Windows server administration, and networking concepts.

- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g, Oracle, Couchbase).

- Familiarity with IT service management tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira (a plus).

- Experience with chaos engineering principles (a plus).

- Ability to optimize cloud resource utilization and costs (a plus).

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a cloud engineering or related role.

- Proven experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages.

- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their core services (a plus if familiar with multiple platforms).

- Expertise in container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).

- Strong understanding of observability tools and best practices for application performance monitoring.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

- Experience with Linux and Windows server administration.

- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
