Senior Associate - Cloud Infrastructure (4-9 yrs)

Job Summary :

The Senior Associate Infrastructure - DevOps will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC).

You will work closely with development teams, security engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Responsibilities :

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

CI/CD Pipeline Management : Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.

- Automate build, test, and deployment processes.

Cloud Infrastructure Management : Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring its availability, scalability, and security.

Automation : Automate infrastructure management tasks, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.

Monitoring and Logging : Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems to track system performance and identify potential issues.

- Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.

Configuration Management : Manage system configurations using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Security : Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including access control, vulnerability management, and security hardening.

Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues, providing timely support to development teams.

Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with development teams, security engineers, and other stakeholders.

Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Continuous Improvement : Continuously improve infrastructure management processes and tools, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.

Technical Skills :

Cloud Platforms :

- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience with multiple cloud platforms is a plus.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Expertise in using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

CI/CD :

- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.

Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Configuration Management :

- Expertise in configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Operating Systems :

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g , Ubuntu, CentOS) and scripting languages like Bash or Python.

Networking :

- Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, load balancing, and DNS.

Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.

Security: Knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure.

Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python.

Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Skills :

Database Management : Familiarity with database systems (e.g , MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Web Servers : Experience with web servers like Nginx or Apache.

Automation Tools : Experience with other automation tools and technologies.

DevOps Certifications : Relevant DevOps certifications (e.g , AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role (minimum [Number] years).
