Job Title : DevOps - Architect
Location : Gurgaon
Role Summary :
As a DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly available systems and ensuring smooth and reliable application deployments. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure best-in-class DevOps practices, including proactive monitoring, automated alerting, and self-healing mechanisms. You will help implement cutting-edge tools to automate our infrastructure and streamline processes.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Infrastructure Automation & Optimization :
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring of our cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
2. Architect Scalable Infrastructure :
- Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as EKS, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Architect and oversee the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
3. CI/CD Pipeline Development :
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and AWS CodePipeline for applications built on PHP, Java, Node.js, Next.js, and React.js.
- Ensure continuous integration and deployment workflows with automated testing and validation.
4. Proactive Monitoring & Self-Healing Systems :
- Architect and implement proactive monitoring using ELK Stack, NewRelic, and AWS CloudWatch to ensure real-time visibility into system health and application performance.
- Develop and deploy self-healing systems to automatically resolve issues like server failures, application crashes, or service downtimes.
5. Cloud Management :
- Manage and optimize our AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, and SNS.
- Use Fastly CDN to optimize content delivery and improve website performance.
6. Security & Compliance :
- Work with security tools such as Securi Firewall to ensure secure infrastructure.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant deployment pipelines.
7. Database & Search Services :
- Work with databases such as ElasticSearch, MariaDB, and indexing/search engines like Algolia to ensure efficient query performance and data integrity.
8. Cross-Team Leadership :
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps processes across the organization.
- Lead the DevOps team in establishing best practices around infrastructure management, deployment, monitoring, and security.
9. Collaboration :
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration between development and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
10. Cost Optimization :
- Design cost-effective cloud architectures that optimize the use of resources while ensuring high performance.
- Implement strategies for efficient resource scaling based on traffic patterns.
11. Continuous Improvement :
- Lead efforts to improve DevOps culture and practices, promoting automation, code quality, and collaboration.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, suggesting improvements to current infrastructure and processes.
Job Requirements :
Educational Qualification and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on high transaction systems with microservices.
Technical Skills :
- Proven experience of setting up and maintaining DevOps practices and infrastructure for applications serving hundreds of transaction per second.
- Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, SNS, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, NewRelic, ELK Stack).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation).
- Proficiency with Fastly CDN or similar content delivery networks.
- Solid understanding of Linux system administration.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MariaDB, ElasticSearch, Mongo).
- Knowledge of APM tools such as NewRelic for performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
