About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Middleware/JBoss Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our JBoss middleware infrastructure, as well as leading application migrations from WebSphere to JBoss. This role requires a strong understanding of middleware technologies, Java/JEE proficiency, and experience with configuration management tools.

Primary Skills :

- JBoss EAP, WebSphere Application Server, Java/JEE, Middleware Technologies (e.g., JMS, JTA), Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), Application Migration, Linux/Unix, Scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain JBoss EAP environments.

- Lead application migrations from WebSphere to JBoss, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

- Manage and troubleshoot JBoss middleware components, including application servers, message queues, and transaction managers.

- Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.

- Implement security best practices for JBoss and related systems.

- Automate routine tasks using configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and troubleshoot applications.

- Provide support for production environments, including incident response and problem resolution.

- Document JBoss configurations and procedures.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest JBoss and middleware technologies.

Required Skills :

- Proven experience in JBoss EAP installation, configuration, and administration.

- Experience with WebSphere Application Server administration and migration to JBoss.

- Strong understanding of middleware technologies, such as JMS, JTA, and JNDI.

- Solid Java/JEE development and deployment skills.

- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

- Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.

- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to have) :

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

- Knowledge of other middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat).

- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
