Overview

The Unisex Hairstylist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the appearance and confidence of clients through professional hair services. Located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, this position requires a blend of artistic skills, technical expertise, and customer-focused service. Hairstylists are responsible for providing a variety of hair care services, including cuts, styles, and color treatments, tailored to the individual needs of clients.

With an emphasis on customer satisfaction, the Unisex Hairstylist must keep abreast of current hair trends, techniques, and products to deliver high-quality results. This role not only contributes to the salons reputation and client retention but also plays an essential part in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for all clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued during their visit. Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs and preferences.
Perform haircuts, styling, and treatments for a diverse clientele.
Apply hair color, highlights, and other chemical treatments effectively.
Advise clients on hair care products and best practices for maintenance.
Keep up to date with current hair trends, techniques, and styles.
Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to health and safety standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Provide exceptional customer service ensuring a pleasant client experience.
Manage appointment bookings and schedules efficiently.
Assist in marketing salon services and promotions.
Participate in ongoing education and training sessions to enhance skills.
Work collaboratively with other beauty professionals to create a cohesive salon experience.
Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy and integrity.
Demonstrate effective time management to ensure all clients are served promptly.
Address client complaints or concerns in a professional manner.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a hairstylist or similar role.
Valid cosmetology or hairstylist license.
High school diploma or equivalent, additional training in cosmetology is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of hair products and their application.
Ability to perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Keen eye for aesthetics and detail-oriented nature.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for scheduling and point-of-sale systems.
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
