Squad Lead / Data Project Lead

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Squad Lead or Data Project Lead with a strong background in business analysis, data engineering, and development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading teams, developing delivery plans, and managing project resources and budgets. They will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects while managing stakeholder expectations, mitigating risks, and driving governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-level delivery plans based on initial business requirements and refine them as the project progresses.
• Create and manage detailed project plans, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Lead and manage a team of 5-10 people, coordinating resources and adjusting the team structure as needed.
• Develop and oversee project budgets and resource plans, ensuring the effective allocation and release of resources as per project requirements.
• Manage business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
• Implement strong project governance through daily stand-ups, weekly project reviews, and steering committees.
• Enforce a robust change management process, ensuring proper handling of project changes.
• Assess risks and issues proactively, providing clear action plans to mitigate them internally and with clients.
• Play a senior business analyst role by identifying and unblocking project issues by collaborating with the right stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous alignment between technical and business objectives, providing strategic direction to the project team.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in data-related roles, with a background as a business analyst or data engineer.
• Proven experience in team leadership, project planning, and resource management.
• Strong experience in developing high-level and detailed delivery plans for data projects.
• Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing budgets and resource allocations for medium to large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of project governance, change management, and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage both internal teams and business stakeholders.
