Business Analyst

Purpose of the Role:

• Understand Life Asia application, business requirements, conduct detailed gap analysis of a product versus the requirements, create the functional design, acts as the functional SME for a module, own the business process flows for the customer, perform product configuration setup with the objective of ensuring complete coverage of clients requirements and product quality within the client and project specifications.
• Sound knowledge of Life Asia application and functionalities
• Requirement gathering, rationalization, prioritization & documentation
• Working experience on various types of Life Insurance products such as Term, ULIP, Savings, Whole life, Pension etc
• Functional gap analysis & impact analysis on the application
• Create Functional Specification document and provide walkthrough to development and Testing teams.
• Functional support during development of application and coordinate with Interface teams on Group Asia integration touch points
• Review design and test cases prepared by Developers.
• Track all the defects identified during the functional testing to closure
• Sound knowledge of different functionalities in Life Asia - New Business, Policy servicing, Policy Admin, claims, Product set up etc
• Support System Integration & User Acceptance Testing phases. Good SQL knowledge is preferable.
• Support for Program management activities including regular status reporting and escalation of challenges/ risks on timely basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the life insurance industry.
• Strong working knowledge of the LifeAsia application is essential.
• Experience in business process modeling and documentation.
• Familiarity with life insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
